Privacy policy
This notice explains what Samen Thuis stores and how private household information is handled.
Data we collect
Samen Thuis stores account details, household memberships, calendars, tasks, recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, dashboard preferences, device sessions, notification settings, and images you choose to upload. Device tokens are encrypted and recipe images are stripped of metadata before storage.
How data is used
Data is used only to operate, secure, synchronize, and support the app. Samen Thuis has no advertising, third-party analytics SDK, subscription, or in-app purchase.
“Only me” events and administrators
Only me events are never returned to other household members through feeds, searches, widgets, images, or notifications. Authorized administrators can intentionally open their details only for support or security work; that access is audited.
Service providers
Laravel Cloud hosts the application and encrypted backups in the EU, its object storage partner stores private images in the EU, Resend delivers account email, and Apple delivers optional push notifications. Providers receive only the data needed for those services.
Retention and shared content
Account-specific data is removed after account deletion. Shared household records remain owned by the home when other members remain, with your attribution removed. A sole-member home is deleted with the account.
Your choices
You can edit your account, revoke device sessions, decline notifications, leave homes where another member remains, and delete your account in the app. Contact support to ask a privacy question.
